For the attention of our National Skills Academy members:
We recognise that current circumstances are particularly challenging for education providers and that each of you will be subject to major disruptions. We hope you are each receiving the support you need to weather the impacts of this pandemic.
Following announcements by the UK Government we wish to reassure you that we are taking every step we can to maintain a quality service and deliver commitments made to you, our National Skills Academy members, whilst also minimising risks to staff, contractors and stakeholders.
As per most businesses, we are not offering face to face meetings or events currently. However, we are ordinarily mobile working and as such our staff frequently work from home as standard, this means your dedicated Partnership Manager is contactable via phone and email as usual. If you do not have details for a dedicated contact at Creative & Cultural Skills, please do get in touch at [email protected]
As we are unable to predict how long social distancing measures will be in place, we will be starting work on the development of a digital offer for you and will share details of this in due course. We are also in discussions with the Imperial War Museum around an event in the autumn to bring together the two years of work on our Make Art Not War creative skills programme.
Some of our Partnership Managers have been working to support colleges in finding online solutions to current challenges. For example, we have sourced online virtual tours of museums and galleries as well as industry workplaces to assist students who had trips booked, either as part of the National Skills Academy or independently. Therefore, do use your local Partnership Manager for support here.
We are due to hold reviews with you after Easter, which we hope to conduct with you through online methods subject to your availability. We will also be issuing an online survey to help us assess the National Skills Academy’s offer to ensure we can make this fit for purpose and competitive. We would be grateful if you could take the time to complete this.
We look forward to more stable times and offering an exciting programme from September 2020.
With very best wishes,
Director, Partnerships and Delivery
