Creative & Cultural Skills has conducted a comprehensive UK-wide analysis of demand for skills in the Creative and Cultural Industries and also for each UK nation. These Sector Skills Assessments will inform and shape our priorities for the year ahead.
We were invited by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and the UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES) to provide evidence of the skills needs of the creative and cultural industries to inform an annual National Strategic Skills Audit that covers the UK's entire economy. All evidence has been submitted to Government.
The analysis follows systematic and regular consultation with the creative and cultural industries and the majority of data are taken directly from our Creative Blueprint programme along with national consultation with employers.
Creative & Cultural Skills has reported to Government in three ways.
1. Analysis and recommendations for the Creative and Cultural industries
NB The Sector Skills Agreement for Scotland has not yet been published.
2. Cluster report: the Creative Industries (Creative & Cultural Skills worked with Skillset)
3. Cluster report: the Digital Economy (Creative & Cultural Skills worked jointly with e-Skills UK and Skillset)
NB This document was published in 2010 and will not be renewed in 2011.
