The Cultural Heritage Blueprint – a workforce development plan for cultural heritage in the UK

The Cultural Heritage Blueprint, a workforce development plan for cultural heritage in the UK, was launched in December 2008. It lays out a series of recommendations and proposed actions to tackle the skills needs of the cultural heritage sector.

The key areas addressed by the Cultural Heritage Blueprint are:

  • Entry into the workforce
  • Workforce diversity
  • Learning and development for staff and volunteers
  • Leadership and management
  • Business, enterprise and entrepreneurial skills
  • Sector-specific skills
