 Apprenticeships
Training providers

Our apprenticeships are currently offered by a variety of education and training providers across the UK.

As a provider, there are some changes to delivery that you should be aware of:

New Guidance on Delivery Models

As part of the continuing focus on developing the quality of apprenticehsip delivery, the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) has reviewed and updated the Statement on the Quality of Apprenticeship Delivery Models. The statement provides clarification on the following:

  • a minimum of 30 hours employment per week
  • education and training providers employing apprentices in-house
  • length of delivery
  • use of training funds to pay an apprentice's wage
  • the role of Apprenticeships Training Agencies

The new statement can be found on the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) website.

Transferable Skills

Functional Skills were due to replace Key Skills as a mandatory component of all apprenticeship frameworks in early 2011.  However, from April 2011 until September 2012, they will run in parallel and therefore both be valid.

More information on transferable skills can be found on the NAS website.
