New Jewellery and Craft National Occupational Standards ready for use

Creative & Cultural Skills
22 April 2010

We’re pleased to announce that the new National Occupational Standards for Jewellery Manufacture, Silversmithing and Allied Trades  and National Occupational Standards for Craft, developed by Creative & Cultural Skills in collaboration with a panel composed of members from industry, have been approved for use by the UK Commission for Employment and Skills.

National Occupational Standards provide a clear description of what you need to know and what you need to be able to do to perform a job successfully. Employers can use them to create job descriptions, develop staff training courses and to support the appraisal process. They are also used to inform the development of qualifications and training courses.

National Occupational Standards cannot be developed without your help – many thanks to everyone who contributed to these two important projects.

For more information on how National Occupational Standards can help your business, please see the Standards section.
